polished pop perfection that brings back memories of the ai;\@$ cq  
jaunty hits of the Housemartins and their catalogue of d?hz LX  
intelligent and catchy songs. "I Think I'm Bleeding" has an S~3\3qt$  
underlying country flavour to it. Whilst once again presented \%5MAQS  
as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of SDBt @=Nl  
bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The ;7rv  
Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to ue0s&WF|  
its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to  t;47(U  
accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling qLjT.7 .x

The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that NK/4OAt%  
truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his FtIa*j^G  
laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost 2]t i!<  
and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his YD&_^3-XM  
younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album tcL2J.  
and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to {exrwnIZj  
Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour. (lWq[0^N  
If Bluesbunny closes his eyes, on "Mystery Star" Ally Kerr P!<[U!<hH  
seems to transform himself into Edinburgh master popsters GAl+Zg##  
Dropkick and there are certainly worse things to be than that. ;n*J$B  
If Bluesbunny had to pick a favourite track, it would probably u%2KwRQ  
be "Amorino" evoking, as it does, the melancholic pleasures of O#_x)13

The thing that impresses most about this album is the songs <avQR9'&  
themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant KoHGweKl#  
lyrics, they are however presented as a whole lot fluffier l(:kfR~AC  
than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so m5-9yQ=.  
but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any d3^7ag%  
kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although Ly #_?\bn  
his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is g22gIj]  
doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of I%;

icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything V|FrN*m

Overall, this is a happy, upbeat album that is just a bit too ;y1Q6eN  
polite and well mannered to try and force itself upon your reiU%C  
affections. The production and arrangements are smoother than $c9k*3{<+A  
your average Starbuck's decaf latte but it is perhaps fair 1FERmf? ?d  
comment to say that the omnipresent sugar coating will suit jRj=Awy  
his fans. However, and maybe this is a reviewer thing, a bit 82:W

of fire and even some unpredictability would have been gv.6h{Ut  
welcome. Then again, the Bluesbunny was always a quadruple YA&`&$
