)$#r6fQO as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of
iw Hy!Vi-5 bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The
s $ ONht Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to
4{'0-7} its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to
Y:nF.An3 accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling
;x[F4d mineral water.

~H JlR'w]d M, The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that
$RQ7rL3g{ truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his
=A6/ D laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost
^6?NYHMr= and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his
~YIGOL"? younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album
;%1ob f 89 and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to
BO5gwvyI Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour.

kT(}>= ]g themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant

!b O8apn than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so
7'[C+/: but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any
tQ7DdVdix kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although
VV(>e@Bc4 his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is
9o.WJ doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of
n6gYZd icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything
{cF7h)j in life to have a cherry on top for it to be appetising.
