S^z~ bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The
R!lN m,i Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to
lSC3m=4g its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to

2vM accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling
JXUnhjB,B mineral water.
w~afQA> fu}NH \{ The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that
V:9| 9$G truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his
X ~%I(?OX laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost
1GN>,Lb: o and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his
.21% ~"dxJ younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album
I7r{&X) D and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to
,*Y*ov23aQ Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour.
H"WkZX If Bluesbunny closes his eyes, on "Mystery Star" Ally Kerr

n themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant
nL5Gr:SLo lyrics, they are however presented as a whole lot fluffier
j|FGb: than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so
;38W41d{ but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any
t;Jt+k~ kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although
ogs9obbZ! his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is
Jme}{!3m doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of
9<kKno icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything
T~s/@*y9 in life to have a cherry on top for it to be appetising.
