[vs5e3B) and roots rock verve. The ten songs here are Garza-ized takes on
`Al( AT(p Christmas standards: "Jingle Bells," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,"
3jB5F0^r1 "Away in a Manger," "Feliz Navidad," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,"
k-&fPE jG "Carol of the Bells," and "Silent Night." The latter two are fine
h}o7/p instrumentals. "Carol of the Bells,'" especially, is a deeply satisfying
#4e Taik guitar and percussion workout that embraces not only hard rhumba
yY$:zc"J drumming, but funk, Mexican folk music, and screaming blues-rock.
yH0BN z8V Hopefully, their version of "Run Rudolph Run" will make Chuck Berry

QK3j.Ss that open the set. "I've Longed for Christmas" is a bona fide new
6Tn.56 X seasonal tune with its warmth, soulful wah-wah guitar, and laid-back
xG ^6 '< drum kit shuffling around a slippery groove. The brothers sing
3 ;6Criq} unfettered joyful harmonies about giving, peace, love, and joy ?and the
2# bpWk 9 celebration of Christ's birth. "She'll Be My Everything for Christmas"
gE>_:s is inspired by Fats Domino's New Orleans brand of rhythm & blues with
