and roots rock verve. The ten songs here are Garza-ized takes on Jj/}GVNc7  
Christmas standards: "Jingle Bells," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," y=0)vi{]  
"Away in a Manger," "Feliz Navidad," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," d}y ")q|F  
"Carol of the Bells," and "Silent Night." The latter two are fine nYR#Q|  
instrumentals. "Carol of the Bells,'" especially, is a deeply satisfying G8zbb  
guitar and percussion workout that embraces not only hard rhumba  7p- RPC  
drumming, but funk, Mexican folk music, and screaming blues-rock. -'F27])  
Hopefully, their version of "Run Rudolph Run" will make Chuck Berry xI_0`@do  
proud, with its rumbling upright piano and bassline, and Henry's guitar 0NK|3]p  
offering his best modern read of Berry's instrumental innovation on the ~Ajst!Y7=  
I-IV-V progression. But the real highlights here are the two originals 3Vbt(K  
that open the set. "I've Longed for Christmas" is a bona fide new h=qT@)h1>  
seasonal tune with its warmth, soulful wah-wah guitar, and laid-back u* G+=aV.6  
drum kit shuffling around a slippery groove. The brothers sing g^}C/~b[  
unfettered joyful harmonies about giving, peace, love, and joy ?and the W] WH4.y  
celebration of Christ's birth. "She'll Be My Everything for Christmas" gA`QV''/:  
is inspired by Fats Domino's New Orleans brand of rhythm & blues with JZK93R  
loose strolls up and down the keyboard and his celebration of love 7GTDe'T
