$0 6('Hg& Everything the brothers Garza play is infected with pure bluesy groove
'9 zKaL and roots rock verve. The ten songs here are Garza-ized takes on
'rS \9T Christmas standards: "Jingle Bells," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,"
5`$!s17 "Away in a Manger," "Feliz Navidad," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,"
|z"$^|@d? "Carol of the Bells," and "Silent Night." The latter two are fine
k}I65 ^l# instrumentals. "Carol of the Bells,'" especially, is a deeply satisfying
C9! FnvH guitar and percussion workout that embraces not only hard rhumba
sa _ J6 ~ drumming, but funk, Mexican folk music, and screaming blues-rock.
+ !" Y C Hopefully, their version of "Run Rudolph Run" will make Chuck Berry
)db:jPkwd proud, with its rumbling upright piano and bassline, and Henry's guitar

'Z=_zG/ RX I-IV-V progression. But the real highlights here are the two originals
