7 nFOV Z intelligent and catchy songs. "I Think I'm Bleeding" has an
w6WPfy(/2 underlying country flavour to it. Whilst once again presented
,v,rY' as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of
t(9q 6x3|e bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The
;i'[c` Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to
[ ~ 2imS its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to
%W)pZN} accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling
J 9p4\=9 mineral water.

>m . . The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that
H(r D*R[ truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his
2wHbhW [ laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost
|E.BGdS and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his
$i5J} younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album
S!.&# sc and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to
uMS+,dXy Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour.

C,Nf|L((6 than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so
Cp6 S2v I but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any

a/p# kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although
&uK(. @ his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is
A iM ukd, doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of
8(L$a1#5W icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything
,PTM'O@aU# in life to have a cherry on top for it to be appetising.
P 0,]`w P 1Hab2%+ Overall, this is a happy, upbeat album that is just a bit too
o utJ/~9; polite and well mannered to try and force itself upon your
ayy\7b affections. The production and arrangements are smoother than
d_yvG.#C your average Starbuck's decaf latte but it is perhaps fair
u 2 s comment to say that the omnipresent sugar coating will suit
