lc71Pp> underlying country flavour to it. Whilst once again presented
TFWx(}1 as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of

@ bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The
<?UIux Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to
'$3]U5KOwK its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to
9N [PZD accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling
}!i#1uHUH: mineral water.
y@kRJ 8d (1 pxQ%yEA The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that
E ,[ @jxP truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his

lpo laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost
5UQz6DK and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his
^0/FZ)V8 younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album
wW~y?A"{2 and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to
VV*Z5U@b Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour.
cGhnI& If Bluesbunny closes his eyes, on "Mystery Star" Ally Kerr
X4:\Shb97 seems to transform himself into Edinburgh master popsters

2"r't themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant
Zxm Mw lyrics, they are however presented as a whole lot fluffier
tSVN}~1\ than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so

%?J but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any
+0016UgS# kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although
SO #NWa<0| his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is
!1tHg Z2\ doing his own songs a disservice here by sprinkling an inch of
,Jy@n]x icing sugar on everything. It is not necessary for everything

in life to have a cherry on top for it to be appetising.
