I?_WV_T& Wjr^: d By 1990, she had settled in Nashville, where she married and became a
Av!xI mother. She continued to attend Belmont, as well as write songs. Soon,
|v_ttJ;+Y she began singing on songwriting demos and performing her own showcase
'~zi~Q7M concerts. Eventually, Womack was spotted by Tree Publishing at one of
q2*1Gn9!j her showcases. In 1995, the company signed her after listening to one of
ywA7hm her original demos. While she was a staff writer at Tree, she co-wrote
vPAL, songs with Ed Hill, Bill Anderson, Sam Hogin, and Mark Wright. Her songs
XHh*6Yt_ ( were recorded by Anderson and Ricky Skaggs. Within a year after signing
I!T=$Um to Tree, Womack signed to Decca Records as a recording artist. Wright
DSlO.)dHu was hired as the producer for Womack's debut album, which was comprised

H0b Lee Ann Womack's eponymous album was released in May of 1997, and
