High Places' self-titled debut was recorded by the band's Rob $QJ,V~  
Barber and Mary Pearson in their apartment in Brooklyn's Fort (V#*}eGy  
Greene neighborhood. They employed a wide variety of 1-?TjR  
instruments to make this album, ranging from the more  VpWpC&  
traditional: 12 string guitar, banjo, shakers and rattles, iK9#{1BpML  
bass, bells and Kalimba; to the inventive: plastic bags, ;N!W|G  
mixing bowls, wood blocks and other common household objects. `bcCj~j  
The album has a contemplative and organic lyrical tone x*0mmlCb  
emphasized by the themes of goodness manifested in nature, Oy~X@A  
hardship and wonder as necessities to human existence and =pn(5
