K #'{Ko vinyl albums which included Pink Floyd, Fela Kuti, Donny
8'Bik Hathaway, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley. When her father,
{;Y2O.lV who worked part-time as a DJ while studying engineering
tj e in Germany, discovered her singing talent he recorded a
A(qy>x-BI first demo tape with her in a studio and allowed her to
e/ V8lo drop out of school at the age of eighteen.
\ g\, 8 @4)p.{5I At twenty-one Ayo. moved to London and later lived in
*'ex>4^ Paris and New York. During her time in Paris her musical
5TcirVO82 talent was noticed by a broader audience, and she gave
+J%9%DqF her first solo concerts, opened 2002 for soul singers

k[ h Omar and Cody Chesnutt, and signed a contract with
Fu#mMn0c Polydor Records.

I her first album Joyful in January 2006 in the New York
x-ShY&k Sony studio. The whole disc was recorded in just five
s4Z5t$0| days under live conditions, with a group of musicians
-<WQ>mrB& organized by her producer Jay Newland. The album was
% wS5 m#n released in June 2006 in Europe and Korea and in November
EX^j^# N 2007 in the United States and Japan.
@K.[;-;g 0p' =Vel{} At the end of 2007 Ayo. started a concert tour through
lzStJ,NPqn Germany and the United States. On her American tour she
rz3!0P!"K performed with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. On 10 January
)]C7+{ImC 2008 she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman,

and on January 26, 2008 the Late Late Show with Craig
>gTrui { , Ferguson, performing her song Down on My Knees. In June
mkOj& Q 2008 the singer started her second tour through the

,Q8)r0 c fu?Y'Qet On 10 March 2008 Ayo. started recording on her second
RzLb PSTQ album Gravity At Last at the Compass Point Studios in
Ok &u4'< Nassau on the Island of New Providence, The Bahamas. She
w6[uM%fHG is co-producing the album with Jay Newland. Her band
#97w6,P+ includes Keith Christopherson (bass), Larry Campbell
f_GqJ7Gk] (guitars and other string instruments), Lucky Peterson
N_"mC^Vx (keyboards), Sherrod Barnes (guitar/vocals) and Jermaine

H_Cn1l Parrish (drums). The album with 13 tracks written and
1]vrpJw composed by the singer was recorded in only 5 days and
uyITUvPg[ will be released at the end of September 2008 by
