_pW 'n=}R in Germany, discovered her singing talent he recorded a
"{6KZ! +0 first demo tape with her in a studio and allowed her to
*hl<Y,W( drop out of school at the age of eighteen.
Q}ZBr^*]1e !z.^(Tj At twenty-one Ayo. moved to London and later lived in
L`JY 4JM" Paris and New York. During her time in Paris her musical
Y/!0Q6<[2Y talent was noticed by a broader audience, and she gave
kz|[*%10 her first solo concerts, opened 2002 for soul singers
.1%i`+uZ Omar and Cody Chesnutt, and signed a contract with
~EPjZ3 ? Polydor Records.
@]yQJuXA&Z q2D`1nT Shortly after giving birth to her son Nile, she recorded
g;ct!f=U her first album Joyful in January 2006 in the New York
W|) (|W Sony studio. The whole disc was recorded in just five
U bpg92 days under live conditions, with a group of musicians
)/i4YLO organized by her producer Jay Newland. The album was
MEDskvBG released in June 2006 in Europe and Korea and in November
xDNw /' 2007 in the United States and Japan.
%Ud.SJ 3 C[^a/ P`i At the end of 2007 Ayo. started a concert tour through
]q@rGD85K Germany and the United States. On her American tour she
X/K| WOO6 performed with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. On 10 January
_dz:\v 2008 she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman,
\=TWYj_Ah and on January 26, 2008 the Late Late Show with Craig
tauP1&%oH{ Ferguson, performing her song Down on My Knees. In June
'Sm/t/g"| 2008 the singer started her second tour through the
9p!d Q x United States and Canada.
Va&KIHw Bx_8@+ On 10 March 2008 Ayo. started recording on her second
m|g$'vjk album Gravity At Last at the Compass Point Studios in

ZFtW Nassau on the Island of New Providence, The Bahamas. She
+K @J*W 1 is co-producing the album with Jay Newland. Her band
t2 `X! ` includes Keith Christopherson (bass), Larry Campbell
\Mh4X`<e (guitars and other string instruments), Lucky Peterson
L.R\]+$U2 (keyboards), Sherrod Barnes (guitar/vocals) and Jermaine
`RL(N4H Parrish (drums). The album with 13 tracks written and
%u<&^8EL+# composed by the singer was recorded in only 5 days and
,L8I7O}A ; will be released at the end of September 2008 by
vs)HbQ Universal Music France.
