At the age of six Ayo. played the violin for a short 3u'@anre  
time, then turned to the piano and later taught herself BLb'7`t  
to play the guitar. When she was about 15, she wrote her *

first song, which was about her mother, and which helped @e+qe9A|  
her to cope with her traumatic childhood. Her musical :!fU+2$`^(  
taste was influenced by her father's large selection of aL/7

vinyl albums which included Pink Floyd, Fela Kuti, Donny ;JX2ebx  
Hathaway, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley. When her father, LGWQBEXw  
who worked part-time as a DJ while studying engineering nzKlue  
in Germany, discovered her singing talent he recorded a 7 ;x to =  
first demo tape with her in a studio and allowed her to Pk:b:(4  
drop out of school at the age of eighteen. Sv[+~co<l

At twenty-one Ayo. moved to London and later lived in XW*d\vDun  
Paris and New York. During her time in Paris her musical q ;e/gP2  
talent was noticed by a broader audience, and she gave u4Z Accj  
her first solo concerts, opened 2002 for soul singers ]"i^VVw  
Omar and Cody Chesnutt, and signed a contract with ($[@'?Z1

Shortly after giving birth to her son Nile, she recorded ^;;gPhhWV  
her first album Joyful in January 2006 in the New York kj`h{

Sony studio. The whole disc was recorded in just five 8e_9u@p+w  
days under live conditions, with a group of musicians <'O|7. ^^  
organized by her producer Jay Newland. The album was VB~Do?]*k%  
released in June 2006 in Europe and Korea and in November B &)wJG

At the end of 2007 Ayo. started a concert tour through =]-D_$S~  
Germany and the United States. On her American tour she t8Giv89{  
performed with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. On 10 January ZV`o:Gd  
2008 she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, ^/7Y3n!|3  
and on January 26, 2008 the Late Late Show with Craig 0V'XE1h  
Ferguson, performing her song Down on My Knees. In June 2bTM0-  
2008 the singer started her second tour through the gm}zF%B"

On 10 March 2008 Ayo. started recording on her second yu=(m~KX   
album Gravity At Last at the Compass Point Studios in D=~3N  
Nassau on the Island of New Providence, The Bahamas. She bYy7Ul6]  
is co-producing the album with Jay Newland. Her band :JzJ(q/  
includes Keith Christopherson (bass), Larry Campbell kDWvjT  
(guitars and other string instruments), Lucky Peterson ,/..f!

(keyboards), Sherrod Barnes (guitar/vocals) and Jermaine jn>RE   
Parrish (drums). The album with 13 tracks written and ljjnqQ%
