Sf*v#? and roots rock verve. The ten songs here are Garza-ized takes on
"*t6KXVaM Christmas standards: "Jingle Bells," "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,"
<YFDS; b| "Away in a Manger," "Feliz Navidad," "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,"
eP>_Cr Jb "Carol of the Bells," and "Silent Night." The latter two are fine
H"AL@= instrumentals. "Carol of the Bells,'" especially, is a deeply satisfying
k pn|C 9r guitar and percussion workout that embraces not only hard rhumba
[d[w/@ drumming, but funk, Mexican folk music, and screaming blues-rock.
VmPh''Z%- Hopefully, their version of "Run Rudolph Run" will make Chuck Berry
*2a" 2o proud, with its rumbling upright piano and bassline, and Henry's guitar

(X"5x]7] that open the set. "I've Longed for Christmas" is a bona fide new
a pa&'%7 seasonal tune with its warmth, soulful wah-wah guitar, and laid-back
V[/ 9?5pM drum kit shuffling around a slippery groove. The brothers sing
kb2C 9< unfettered joyful harmonies about giving, peace, love, and joy ?and the
'69)m~B0a celebration of Christ's birth. "She'll Be My Everything for Christmas"
>]~581fYf is inspired by Fats Domino's New Orleans brand of rhythm & blues with
