S{o@QVbl polished pop perfection that brings back memories of the
^/G?QR jaunty hits of the Housemartins and their catalogue of
gBMta+<fE~ intelligent and catchy songs. "I Think I'm Bleeding" has an
4#TnXxL underlying country flavour to it. Whilst once again presented
OlIT|bzkb as a happy little song, there is more than a touch of
%rFP#L bitterness in his words. Funnily enough, the rather twee "The
D 5=C^`$2 Toothbrush Song" would also make a quality country song due to
*zJD$+Fo its dry lyrics even if a cowboy would feel the need to
! &Z*yH accompany such emotions with bourbon rather than sparkling
C,[ L/! mineral water.

\- N[>:@h The pace picks up with the title track "Off the Radar" that
P<8LAc$T truly highlights Mr Kerr's pop sensibilities and offsets his
o\d |CE;> laidback vocal delivery with some spirited guitar. Loves lost
g .3 f2w and won (mostly lost though? and a sense of reflection on his
2%bhW,?I younger years seem a common theme to the songs in this album
RTA %hCr! and, indeed, regret is once more evident in "Is It Too Late to
fQxSMPWB Work for NASA" even if it is disguised here with wry humour.
m^ z,,t9 If Bluesbunny closes his eyes, on "Mystery Star" Ally Kerr
xOhRTx ic seems to transform himself into Edinburgh master popsters
A5+q^t} Dropkick and there are certainly worse things to be than that.

"qs) be "Amorino" evoking, as it does, the melancholic pleasures of

rYbCOazr themselves. Well crafted and melodic with sharp and observant
wtq,`'B lyrics, they are however presented as a whole lot fluffier
q v.n9 9?] than they actually are. It must be Ally Kerr's choice to do so
P> |Ef~j but it does seem that he is deliberately avoiding giving any
Il|GCj*N kind of offense. Maybe he never gets angry himself - although

' his words suggest otherwise -but Bluesbunny feels that he is

hc"6u\> of fire and even some unpredictability would have been
PaNeu1cO welcome. Then again, the Bluesbunny was always a quadruple
