-HGRrWS 9<0yz?b': Since their inception, High Places have created a signature
QOK,- sound out of using bass-heavy yet crisp beats, lilting vocal

"Y^j=?1k i7-i!`< High Places' self-titled debut was recorded by the band's Rob
eCR^$z=c Barber and Mary Pearson in their apartment in Brooklyn's Fort
r+m.!+ Greene neighborhood. They employed a wide variety of
{St- instruments to make this album, ranging from the more
YvN]7tcb traditional: 12 string guitar, banjo, shakers and rattles,
;Q,t65+Am bass, bells and Kalimba; to the inventive: plastic bags,
0?oL zw& mixing bowls, wood blocks and other common household objects.
p*5_+u The album has a contemplative and organic lyrical tone
;=$;h6W0 emphasized by the themes of goodness manifested in nature,
st* sv} hardship and wonder as necessities to human existence and
!&Q?AS JH growth. Additionally, the idea of maturation and development
"P?O1 is further accented through the recurring mention of trees and
