z vB! = time, then turned to the piano and later taught herself

JVig lO1\ taste was influenced by her father's large selection of
q/ -8sO}q vinyl albums which included Pink Floyd, Fela Kuti, Donny
}7YDe'5V Hathaway, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley. When her father,

in Germany, discovered her singing talent he recorded a
TtE c~m first demo tape with her in a studio and allowed her to
fI(u-z~, drop out of school at the age of eighteen.

CZyOAoc< Paris and New York. During her time in Paris her musical

} Zu2GU$6 her first album Joyful in January 2006 in the New York
6dQa|ACX_ Sony studio. The whole disc was recorded in just five

rhY>aj organized by her producer Jay Newland. The album was
$+P9@Q$ released in June 2006 in Europe and Korea and in November

F_;oZ Germany and the United States. On her American tour she
JG&`l{c9 performed with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. On 10 January
*u.6 ,jw 2008 she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman,
A3ad9?LR[R and on January 26, 2008 the Late Late Show with Craig
FSv')` } Ferguson, performing her song Down on My Knees. In June
a*JM2^,HO 2008 the singer started her second tour through the
|,M&k s United States and Canada.
