At the age of six Ayo. played the violin for a short gR)T(%W  
time, then turned to the piano and later taught herself eC:?j`H-  
to play the guitar. When she was about 15, she wrote her 8KKI.i8`  
first song, which was about her mother, and which helped M&Aeh8>uX  
her to cope with her traumatic childhood. Her musical 8 ;oU{  
taste was influenced by her father's large selection of ?5d7J,"<h  
vinyl albums which included Pink Floyd, Fela Kuti, Donny e1ru#'z  
Hathaway, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley. When her father, D6 B(6 5Y  
who worked part-time as a DJ while studying engineering $OK}jSH*v)  
in Germany, discovered her singing talent he recorded a 0U'g2F>{  
first demo tape with her in a studio and allowed her to C<Q;3w`#1j

At twenty-one Ayo. moved to London and later lived in SB R=  
Paris and New York. During her time in Paris her musical yD6lzuk{X  
talent was noticed by a broader audience, and she gave Qzbelt@Wx  
her first solo concerts, opened 2002 for soul singers Jybx'vZj  
Omar and Cody Chesnutt, and signed a contract with B\BxF6 y

Shortly after giving birth to her son Nile, she recorded '(M8D5?N-  
her first album Joyful in January 2006 in the New York XKqUbi  
Sony studio. The whole disc was recorded in just five 5yO%|)  
days under live conditions, with a group of musicians ^M60#gJ  
organized by her producer Jay Newland. The album was -z%| Jk  
released in June 2006 in Europe and Korea and in November NQCJ '%L6

At the end of 2007 Ayo. started a concert tour through noz&4"S.{  
Germany and the United States. On her American tour she pq0F!XmU  
performed with Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds. On 10 January ptXCM[Z+  
2008 she appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, :Z0m "  
and on January 26, 2008 the Late Late Show with Craig ooa>~!91P

2008 the singer started her second tour through the j_2-

On 10 March 2008 Ayo. started recording on her second Z

album Gravity At Last at the Compass Point Studios in @ %LrpD  
Nassau on the Island of New Providence, The Bahamas. She Y{~[N yE  
is co-producing the album with Jay Newland. Her band \ UCOe  
includes Keith Christopherson (bass), Larry Campbell fg1_D  
(guitars and other string instruments), Lucky Peterson 0&!,+  
(keyboards), Sherrod Barnes (guitar/vocals) and Jermaine 5AV5`<r.  
Parrish (drums). The album with 13 tracks written and rOC2 S(m  
composed by the singer was recorded in only 5 days and v6B}ov[Y2  
will be released at the end of September 2008 by bnS"@^M
